The Food Valley
In the Food Valley art, culture, music, motors and nature come together in a perfect union with food and taste. Excellences such as Prosciutto di Parma, Culatello di Zibello, Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena and Parmigiano Reggiano, but also wines, cured meats, fossa cheeses, filled pasta and desserts. An explosion of sensations involving all 5 senses for an unforgettable experience.
They say appetite comes with eating, actually it comes with fasting!
Parma, an extraordinary city that combines art and food in a union unique in Italy. From the 12th century Romanesque Baptistery to Prosciutto, from the Teatro Regio to Culatello di Zibello, the birthplace of Parmigianino, composer Arturo Toscanini and director Bernardo Bertolucci. A mix of visual, olfactory and tactile emotions that will forever be part of your Italian travel experience.
Modena and Traditional Balsamic Vinegar are a combination that cannot be separated. The combination of the famous condiment here finds unthinkable combinations on meats, cheeses, cold cuts and desserts (yes, really desserts, try seasoning strawberries!!). But Modena is also more: the famous Ghirlandina, a Unesco World Heritage Site, or the headquarters of Ferrari, Maserati and Pagani. Welcome to Motor Valley
Bologna the ‘Dotta’, the ‘Grassa’, the ‘Rossa’. The city’s three nicknames exhaustively explain the city’s soul: the Dotta because it is a city rich in history and art. The reason for Grassa is simple: mortadella, tortellini, ragù, the food par excellence. To discover why ‘Rossa’ (red), climb up the Asinelli Tower; the shades you can admire are all in the tone of red
The Food Valley
It would probably take a book to illustrate all the typical products of the Food Valley. Here we limit ourselves to recommending a few: in addition to the famous Prosciutto di Parma, Culatello di Zibello, Parmigiano Reggiano, Mortadella, and Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, try the experience of a cooking class where you can make pasta and tortellini. But also a tasting of Lambrusco and Sangiovese, a taste of Fossa cheese from Sogliano, two slices of zampone di Modena or a visit to a museum entirely dedicated to food. You are spoilt for choice!!!
